We are Sammy and Kay Rudel and we've been married for 40 years with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Todd is the
oldest and he and Jodi have been married 12 years. They
have our oldest grandchild, Lexy who is 11 and also one
of our grandsons, Hunter who is 5. They live in Benbrook,
TX and are often at the house. Lexy and Hunter help Memaw and
Papaw feed and take care of the horses. Lexy is now showing a senior and junior mare.
Tamara Miller is
our oldest daughter. She and Jason have been married for 13
years and they live in Buford, Georgia. Jason is the Chief
Financial Officer for American Junior Golf Assocation. Their
sons, our other 3 grand sons are, Jackson who is 9, Samuel
who is 6, Cole who is 4, Brooklyn who is 18 months and Ty who was born in may 2009.
Tasha is our
youngest daughter, she and Marshall have been married for 4
years. They live in Joshua, about 15 minutes from us
and currently they have Spencer and Lamar (the dog children).
We've
been at our current address in Crowley, Texas which is about 6 minutes
from 35W South of Ft. Worth since 2000. We bought the house and 15
acres with the plan to have Miniature horses, something Sammy had
wanted to do for a long time. We bought 3 horses to begin with, because
no one can buy just one! We now have 33 horses.
We
have made some wonderful friends since we have been bitten by the
miniature horse bug. We have alot of fun at the shows and love to win,
but also enjoy the social activity at the shows.
Sammy
is President of the SouthWestern Miniature Horse Club and enjoys
working with the club members. When they first started buying
miniatures Kay told Sammy that she wanted one of every color………..now
she realizes that is way too many !!!!
We are located a quick 20 mins from the AMHA World Show location in Fort Worth and just 30 mins from DFW airport.
